Melanie Read joined the University of London in 2016 bridging the gap between communications and ICT, as a new post to bring strategy and order to digital communications within the organisation. At the end of 2017, Melanie launched a new corporate site for the university, London.ac.uk which is focused on student recruitment and enhancing the university’s brand. This was the first stage of the digital strategy which she has developed for the central departments of the University of London. Reviewing all digital communication platforms with a focus on user experience, engagement, the service levels provided and the overall quality of communications content, and making recommendations for future investment and implementation of the digital strategy.
She has worked with organisations such as Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, NHS and Tesco.com and most recently Universities UK.
Melanie studied Fine Art at the University of Central Lancashire, and has a broad interest in UX, design and developing inclusive technology solutions.
