Bonnie Ferguson is the Head of Systems at the University of Kent. She manages 5 teams to help develop and support the University’s website, VLE, Library and student data systems. She started at the University in 2005 as a Computing Officer and over the years has contributed to many technical projects and worked to improve processes and culture within IT Development.
Bonnie has a masters degree in Computer Science and has worked as a programmer in both the private and public sector. She is the champion for getting more women into IT and is always interested in learning new things.

Bonnie Ferguson gave the opening plenary talk on “The UK’s European University in a Time of Brexit” from 14.00-14.45 on Tuesday 11 July 2017 and chaired the session on “We Feel Fine (Understanding Our Users)”.
