Tuesday 15 July – Informal Social Activities

On Tuesday 15th July we will make suggestions for a local bar / restaurants for those who will arrive the day before the IWMW 2014 event officially starts.

The closest bar is Nancy Bordello, 13 Argyle Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE1 6PF. Note that it  serves food until 8pm, although there is no real ale.

The Biscuit Factory, which is a 10 minute walk away from the accommodation, is a nice café and bar.

Slightly further away (across the Byker Viaduct), the Cumberland Arms is a renowned real ale pub. The address is James Pl St, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear NE6 1LD. It is a 15 minute walk from the accommodation (see Google Maps).

Wednesday 16 July – Conference Dinner

The IWMW 2014 event dinner will take place on Wednesday July 16th from 19.00. The meal will be held in the Business and Law Building restaurant (and not in the Great Hall of the Sutherland Building  as originally scheduled).

Thursday 17 July – Drinks Reception

A drinks reception will be held at the Great North Museum (Hancock) on Thursday 17th July from 19.00.

Delegates should make their own way to the venue.

The museum is approximately 15 minute walk from the conference venue and accommodation and is well signposted through town.
