The sponsors for the IWMW 2020 event help to enrich the event by funding social activities and administrative support and providing resources. IWMW, Institutional Web Management Workshop, is the annual professional development event for those working in web and digital management teams in UK universities.
The event was founded in 1997 and has been held every year ever since. The event is the longest running professional development event around the world for those working in higher educational web and digital management teams.
The event was originally funded by the Jisc and delivered by UKOLN, a national centre of expertise in digital information management based at the University of Bath. Since 2015 the event has been organised by Brian Kelly, UK Web Focus Ltd., the founder of the event. Since 2017 Claire Gibbons has been co-chair of the event.
The IWMW 2020 event, the 24th in the series, will be held at the University of Dundee on 30 June – 2 July 2020. The theme of the event is “Evolution and Revolution in the HE Digital Community“.
