Marianne Kay

Marianne Kay is an experienced Digital Strategist and a Web Content Management Systems (Web CMS) specialist. She currently manages a team of web developers in the University of Leeds.

The University of Leeds is a research-intensive, Russell Group university. It has over 33,000 students from 151 countries, over 7,000 members of staff and a global network of more than 240,000 alumni. The University of Leeds ranked in the top 10 universities in the UK in the Guardian University Guide 2019.

Prior to joining the University of Leeds, Marianne worked on Web CMS projects in large organisations, advised Web CMS software vendors on product strategy and marketing, and worked with digital agencies specialising in Web Content Management implementations and migrations. Marianne has experience of working with web content management systems such as Jadu, Typo3, WordPress, Drupal, Oracle WebCenter Sites, TerminalFour.

Marianne has written about Web Content Management, Digital Governance, Digital Transformation, Web Design and Mobile Content in publications including EContent Magazine, CMSWire, SmartInsights and Digital Clarity Group. She has spoken at industry events such as Boye & Company, IWMW and CMS Connected.
