About IWMW

IWMW, Institutional Web Management Workshop, is the annual professional development event for those working in web and digital management teams in UK universities.

The event was founded in 1997 and has been held every year ever since. The event is the longest running professional development event around the world for those working in higher educational web and digital management teams.

The event was originally funded by the Jisc and delivered by UKOLN, a national centre of expertise in digital information management based at the University of Bath. Since 2015 the event has been organised by Brian Kelly, UK Web Focus Ltd., the founder of the event. Since 2017 Claire Gibbons has been co-chair of the event.

IWMW 2019

The IWMW 2019 event, the 23rd in the series, will be held at the University of Greenwich on 25-27 June 2019. The theme of the event is Times They Are A-Changin‘.

This will be the first time the event has been held in London since 1999. The return, after a period of 20 years, provides an opportunity to celebrate the growth of the event since its remit was enlarged from the management of institutional web services to include use of Cloud services, social media services and other digital channels.
