Full travel details are available from the University of York website: https://www.york.ac.uk/about/maps/

Arriving by Car

If you are arriving by car head for the Campus West car park which is next to the delegate halls (James College). Parking is pay and display.

There are other car parks nearby if full:

  • Carpark North
  • Carpark G
  • Carpark Central (nearest to Spring Lane Building)
  • Carpark West (nearest to James College)
  • Carpark South – please note that the Campus South car park, including the spaces outside the mail room and Dalham Farm, will be closed all day on Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 July for Hull York Medical School’s (HYMS) Graduation ceremonies.

If you’re using a satnav, use the postcode YO10 5DD.

The main Spring Lane Building is a five to seven minute walk through the campus from the car park.

Travelling by Bus

There is a bus to the University which stops outside, over the road, from the train station – the Your Bus 66. Buses run every 7-8 minutes and it takes around 20 minutes to get to the campus, costing £1.60 for a single journey.

Alight at the Library stop in the middle of the campus and you will see the Spring Lane Building across the road.

Travelling by Taxi

If you get a taxi from the train station the cost will be approximately £7. Ask for the Spring Lane Building if you are travelling straight to the conference on the Wednesday or the Campus South information centre if you are travelling to arrive on Tuesday afternoon.

Signage

We will provide signs from the main arrival points to the Spring Lane Building and accommodation. Note that the signs will include the IWMW logo.
