Sam Charman

Sam Charman, Digital Communications Officer in the Digital Communications Unit, joined the University of Kent in summer 2014. Prior to this he was based at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he held several marketing roles over a seven year period; working initially on commercial services, before moving to student recruitment.

Sam has worked within higher education for 10 years, in a variety of marketing roles. In this time there has been huge growth in the digital and web sectors, as universities have become more competitive, being a professional marketer and web professional in HE is has become far more challenging. His career to date includes a wide variety of experience across the range of digital and web, including web analytics and tracking, content generation, web branding, digital marketing campaigns, email and CRM marketing, video content, social media and SEO and web user testing.
