We are pleased that you are attending IWMW 2017 and look forward to welcoming you to the University of Kent. In the meantime, this information should help to prepare you for your visit.

Conference Registration

The conference registration will take place in Keynes Atrium Foyer, located within Keynes College (N6 on the map) on Tuesday 11th July between 11:00 – 17:00.

Conference Venue

The conference take place at: Keynes College, University of Kent, Canterbury, Kent. CT2 7NP

Accommodation

Campus accommodation is booked into Keynes College. All rooms are single ensuite with a private shower and toilet.

Check-in is from 14:00 on your day of arrival and check-out is by 10:00 on your day of departure. Please visit Keynes Reception upon your arrival to collect your room keys.

Keynes Reception will be open from 08:00 to 22:00 daily. If you are due to check-in to your accommodation after reception has closed you will need to contact Campus Security upon your arrival who will open reception. An internal phone is available outside reception to dial through to our 24hr security team.

Bedrooms are serviced daily and provided with towels, linen and complimentary toiletries. Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided.

Delegates are asked to familiarise themselves with the University’s evacuation procedures, which are displayed on the back of the door in each bedroom.

Breakfast is provided in Dolche Vita, Keynes College between 07:45 and 09:30 and you will be required to show your room key to prove residency.

Luggage Store

As delegates are due to arrive before check-in is available, a seminar room has been booked in Keynes College to store luggage in until check-in is available. This room will be unmanned and delegates are to leave their belongings at their own risk. This room will also be available on Thursday after delegates have checked out. Please speak to the registration staff for more details and the location of this room.

Lunch & Refreshments

Refreshments will be provided on all days of the conference in Keynes Atrium, and lunch will only be provided on Wednesday. There are various outlets open on campus if you wish to purchase lunch upon arrival, Dolche Vita in Keynes College will open for hot and cold drinks, sandwiches and hot food.

Social Events

Workshop Dinner on Tuesday 11th July

The workshop dinner will take place in the Rutherford Dining Hall located in Rutherford College (K4 on the map) from 19:00 on Tuesday 11th July. This dinner is included in the registration fees.

Barbecue on Wednesday 12th July

A barbecue has been organised in Kbar on Wednesday 12th July from 18:00. A drink will be provided upon arrival, followed by a cash bar thereafter.

The hashtag for use on Twitter, Flickr, etc. is #iwmw17

Internet Access

Delegates will be supplied with a computer log-in in order to access the internet during their stay. Log-ins and instructions (for the University network) will be supplied during registration. Wireless zones are available in teaching and social areas on campus. It is a condition of connecting to the internet using the Kent network that all laptops should be running current anti-virus software and the latest security updates.

Between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00 messages for delegates can be left with the Conference team on 01227 828000. Outside of these hours urgent messages only can be left with Campus Security on 01227 823300
