Travel
The IWMW 2014 event will take place on the City East Campus and the event accommodation is within a five minute walk. Newcastle city centre is compact, so it’s easy to get around on foot, bike or by Metro. Note that the nearest Metro station is Manors. From:
- Central train station go the the Metro station take the Metro to Monument station (one stop taking about 1 minute). Then change trains for Manor s(one stop taking about 1 minute).
- Newcastle Airport take the Metro to Monument station (about 25 minutes). Go to platform 3 and take the Metro to Manors Station (one stop taking about 1 minute).
Note that the accommodation is one minute walk from Manors station.

Getting to Newcastle
Newcastle has excellent transport links with major UK and international cities. Newcastle is easy to get to
- Road – the A1(M) running north to south passes close by the city centre
- Rail – Newcastle is about 3 hours from London
- Air – Newcastle International Airport is only seven miles away

Car Parking
We are unable to offer parking on campus, although we do have a limited number of spaces for visitors with mobility issues. There are several car parks within walking distance of campus. The nearest NCP car parks are:

- New Bridge Street (NE1 8AB)
- Carliol Square (NE1 6UL)
