HE institutions are historically resistant to change, and this can be challenging and counterproductive in a time of unprecedented change and uncertainty. Brexit could have caused an identity crisis for the University of Kent, but they have chosen to remain dedicated to being the UK’s European University.

In her opening plenary talk at IWMW 2017, Bonnie Ferguson explored whether University systems, processes and people can become anti-fragile to help meet the growing challenges where nothing stays the same.
